Bacon Avocados: How to eat

Bacon Avocados are smooth-skinned and less oily than Hass avocados. While these avocados do not taste like bacon, they are bright and creamy in texture and are known for a rich and smooth flavor.

Ripe avocados will keep for two to three days in the refrigerator. The Bacon Avocado is ready to eat if it gives slightly when you apply gentle pressure. When cut open you’ll reveal its light yellow flesh with a rim of green near the skin. The skin will peel effortlessly as it is thin.

While these avocados do not taste like bacon, they have a delicious creamy texture much like the familiar Hass Avocado. Their flavor is rich, bright and refreshing. The healthy fat of the avocado combines well with acidic fruit and vegetables. Enjoy your Bacon Avocados on toast, as guacamole or in a salad. Cut avocados in half, remove pits, slice or dice the flesh, and scoop out using a spoon.
